Augusta combines city conveniences with established residential neighborhoods, suburban areas and easy access to Fort Gordon. The area is also a major center for healthcare, medical education, military and cyber-related employment. More Than a Military Move

Is Augusta, GA a good place to relocate?
Augusta offers a mix of established neighborhoods, suburban communities, employment centers, healthcare resources and access to Fort Gordon. Whether it fits your move depends on your work location, budget, housing preferences and lifestyle.
How close is Augusta to Fort Gordon?
Fort Gordon is just southwest of Augusta. The Army describes the installation as approximately eight miles southwest of Augusta, although actual drive time depends heavily on where you live, your destination on the installation and traffic.
Should I live in Augusta or North Augusta?
Both can provide access to the greater Augusta area, but they are in different states and offer different housing, tax, commute and lifestyle considerations. Comparing both before choosing can be useful.
